Women Entrepreneurship Week 2017 - Montclair State University | Montclair NJ

A few years ago, it started as an idea in an office on the Montclair State University campus. Now in its fourth iteration, Women Entrepreneurship Week - the only week-long celebration six continents.

The first year (when Women Entrepreneurship launched in October of 2014), there were multiple events at Montclair State and at three other universities in New Jersey under the direction of Sharon Waters, the program manager of MSU's Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship, which hosts the week each year. Driven by Sharon’s passion, they quickly expanded globally.

Continuing this growing tradition, Women Entrepreneurship Week 2017 will again be celebrated in more than a dozen countries, and in several states in the U.S., and all over New Jersey.

At Montclair State University, two events will be held that are free and open to the public. Here is a peak at the agenda – and a list of the many prestigious women leaders who will be appearing on Wednesday, October 18.

Montclair Film: An Artful Entrepreneurial Journey will feature a fireside chat with Evelyn McGee Colbert, about how she helped start the Montclair Film Festival and everything that it has become. She will be interviewed by Emily Lazar.
