Julie Helman, Senior Manager in the Nonprofit and Social Services Practice, has over 13 years of experience in public accounting, including a “Big Four” firm and a local firm.  She also spent 8 years working with two nonprofit organizations, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco and Inova Health System. This experience of serving nonprofit clients from both the audit/consulting perspective and the client perspective enables her to provide clients with unique insights. 

Julie spends all of her time serving clients in the social services and nonprofit area, including clients who receive HUD funding or low-income tax credits.  As a Senior Manager in the firm’s Nonprofit and Social Services Practice, Julie supervises the audit engagements conducted by Sobel & Co. for Patriots’ Path Council, Mental Health Association of Essex County, Cornerstone Family Programs, Jewish Vocational Services, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, and various other social service agency clients. Julie is also responsible for reviewing and overseeing the preparation of nonprofit tax returns.  She also coordinates in-house training for the staff in our Nonprofit and Social Services Practice.
